Monsters Only terms
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms cover the Full-Time Monster Service, the private members’ area of Monster Mentality that we call Monsters Only. Please read them before you join. When you tick the box on the join page, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we look after your family’s information.
1. Who we are
Monsters Only is run by MONSTER MENTALITY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15234307). Our registered office is 63 London Street, Reading, England, RG1 4PS. You can reach us at info@monstermentalitysport.com.
In these terms, “we” and “us” means Monster Mentality, “you” means the parent or guardian who holds the account, and “your player” means each child on your family account.
2. What you get
While your membership is active, you can sign in and see, for each of your players:
- an individual development plan, with targets across the technical, tactical, physical and psychological corners
- progress reports covering strengths, areas of improvement and focus areas over the next 8 weeks
- an AD Programme (gym and athletic development) with example videos and PDFs
- mindset and nutrition advice, including videos and audio to watch and listen to
Our coaches write this for your player based on what they see in our sessions and what you tell us. We aim to review each player’s targets and write a progress report about every 8 weeks. Mindset and nutrition content is shared with every member, or with particular age groups.
Weekly sessions, camps, tournaments and tours are booked and paid for separately. Membership does not include them unless we tell you otherwise in writing.
3. Who can join
- The account must be held by the player’s parent or legal guardian, aged 18 or over.
- Players do not get their own login. You can show your player everything through your account, and you are responsible for how they use it.
- One account covers all your children on Monsters Only. You pay for each child on the account, with a discount for brothers and sisters (see section 4).
- Keep your password private and do not share your login outside your family. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
4. Price and payment
- Membership costs £100 a month or £1,100 a year for one child.
- Sibling discount. With two children on the account, each child is 20% off: £160 a month or £1,760 a year in total. With three or more, each child is 25% off: £75 a month or £825 a year for each child, so £225 a month or £2,475 a year for three.
- The price you will pay is shown before you pay, and includes any VAT that applies.
- If you add a brother or sister from your account, your membership moves to the new price straight away. You will see the new price and agree to it before they are added, and the difference for the rest of the current month or year is added to your next payment.
- If a child stops, tell us and we will lower your price. Anything you have already paid for that child’s place for the rest of the month or year is taken off your next payment.
- You pay by Direct Debit or card through Stripe, our payment provider. Direct Debit payments are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
- Your membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and you will be charged again, until you cancel. We will remind you by email before an annual membership renews.
- If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. You can cancel before then if you do not want to continue. For annual members, a new price only applies from your next renewal.
5. Missed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe will try again. You keep access for up to 7 days while this happens, and we will show you a message in your account. If the payment still has not gone through after that, access pauses until it is paid. If your membership ends because of non-payment, you can restart it at any time.
6. Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage payments, or by emailing us.
- When you cancel, your membership stops renewing. You keep access until the end of the month or year you have already paid for. We do not give refunds for part of a month or year, except during the cooling-off period below, if we have let you down, or where the law says otherwise.
Your 14-day cooling-off period. You can change your mind within 14 days of first joining. Email us to cancel. Because you ask us to start the service straight away when you join, we will refund what you have paid, minus a fair amount for the service you have already received.
7. AD Programmes, exercise and nutrition
- AD Programmes are general training guidance for young players. They are not medical or physiotherapy advice.
- Before your player starts a programme, tell us about any injury, health condition or medical advice that could affect their training. We will adapt the programme where we can.
- You are responsible for making sure your player trains safely: a safe space and equipment, a proper warm-up, good technique, and adult supervision where needed, especially for younger players and anything using weights.
- Your player should stop straight away and tell you and a coach if anything hurts. If in doubt, speak to your GP or a physiotherapist.
- Nutrition content is general guidance for young athletes. It is not medical advice and is not a diet plan. Speak to your GP about allergies, medical conditions or special diets.
8. Using the content
Everything in Monsters Only (plans, reports, programmes, videos, audio, pictures and PDFs) belongs to Monster Mentality or the people we license it from. You and your player may use it for your player’s own development, and you may print it for that purpose. Please do not copy, share, post or sell it, or show it outside your family, without our written permission.
9. Safeguarding and how we communicate
- All communication about your player goes through your account and your email. Our coaches do not message players directly through Monsters Only.
- We follow our safeguarding policy. If we are worried about a child’s welfare, we will act on it, which can include sharing information with the right authorities.
- Please treat our coaches and staff with respect. We may suspend or end an account if someone is abusive or threatening.
10. If we end or change the service
- We may suspend or end your membership if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We will tell you why and refund any part of a payment that covers time after your access ends.
- If we ever stop running Monsters Only, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund anything you have paid for time after it closes.
- We will keep improving Monsters Only and may change how it looks or works. We will keep providing the services described in section 2.
- We work to keep Monsters Only available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
11. Our responsibility to you
- We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. If we do not, tell us and we will try to put it right. If we cannot, you may be entitled to a partial or full refund.
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
- Monsters Only is for private family use. We are not responsible for business losses.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add new services or the law changes. We will email you at least 30 days before an important change takes effect, and we may ask you to agree to the new terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
13. Questions, complaints and the law
If you have a question or a complaint, email info@monstermentalitysport.com. We will reply as soon as we can, and within 14 days.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Privacy policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
This policy explains how Monster Mentality collects and uses information about you and your player when you use Monsters Only (the Full-Time Monster Service) and the pages on our website that let you join it. We take extra care because much of this information is about children.
1. Who we are
Monsters Only is run by MONSTER MENTALITY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15234307), with its registered office at 63 London Street, Reading, England, RG1 4PS. We decide how your information is used, which makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law. Our registration number with the Information Commissioner’s Office is ICO registration number.
Contact us about anything in this policy at info@monstermentalitysport.com.
2. What we collect
About you, the parent or guardian
- your name, email address and contact number
- your password, which our sign-in provider stores in scrambled form so nobody at Monster Mentality can see it
- your membership details: plan, payment status and renewal dates
- the date you agreed to our terms
- messages you send us
About each of your players
- their name, age group and current club
- what our coaches write for them: development plans, progress reports, AD Programmes and notes
- information you choose to tell us so we can coach them safely, such as an injury
Players do not have their own accounts, and we do not collect information directly from them through Monsters Only.
Payments. Stripe handles all payments. We see your plan, whether payments have gone through and the last digits of your card or account, but never your full card or bank details.
Technical information. When you sign in, we keep a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. Our hosting providers record basic information such as IP addresses to keep the service running and secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use it, and why we are allowed to
| What we do | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Set up and run your account and membership, and take payments | Contract: we need it to provide what you have signed up for |
| Write and share your player’s plans, reports and programmes, and adapt coaching to them | Legitimate interests: giving your player the coaching and development you have asked us for |
| Email you when something new is ready, or about your account and payments | Contract and legitimate interests |
| Keep Monsters Only safe and secure, and prevent misuse | Legitimate interests |
| Keep payment and accounting records | Legal obligation |
| Use health information you share, such as an injury | Your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Act on a safeguarding concern | Legal obligation and protecting a child’s vital interests |
We do not use your information for marketing through Monsters Only, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you or your player.
Photos and videos of your player. If we ever add photos or video clips of your player to their programme or plan, we will only do it with your permission, and only your family and our coaches will be able to see them.
4. Who can see it
- Your family: only you can see your player’s plans, reports and AD Programme, and only while your membership is active.
- Our coaches and admins: they can see the information they need to coach. Only our admins can publish to families.
- Authorities: if the law requires it, or to protect a child.
We also use these companies to run parts of Monsters Only. They can only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: our database, sign-in and file storage, stored in London.
- Stripe: payments and the “Manage payments” page. Stripe also uses some information as a separate controller, for example to prevent fraud. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Netlify: hosts our website and the small programs that handle joining and payments.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Google Fonts: provides the lettering on our pages, so your browser connects to Google, which sees your IP address.
- YouTube, Vimeo and Spotify: when a page includes one of their video or audio players, your browser connects to that service. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and Vimeo’s “do not track” setting. Links to sites like TikTok and Instagram open on those sites, under their own privacy policies.
Some of these companies are based in, or use servers in, the United States. When information leaves the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by the UK’s approved data transfer agreements.
5. How long we keep it
- Account and player records (including plans, reports, programmes and files): while your membership is active, and for 12 months after it ends, so your player’s history is still there if you come back. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Payment and accounting records: 6 years, as required for tax.
- Emails and messages: up to 2 years.
- Health information you shared: only while it is relevant to coaching your player, and no longer than the player records above.
6. How we protect it
- Everything travels over encrypted connections.
- Database rules decide what each person can see, so a parent can only ever see their own family’s information.
- Uploaded files are private. Each link to a file stops working after a few hours.
- Only staff who need access have it, and only our admins can publish.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you or your player
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information
- limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
- send your information to you, or to someone else, in a common format
- stop using health information you gave us with your consent
Email info@monstermentalitysport.com and we will reply within one month. There is usually no charge.
Your player has these rights too. Parents usually use them on behalf of younger children. Once your player is old enough to understand them, usually around 12 or older, they can also ask us themselves.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when how we use information changes. If the change is important, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
